2008.12.11 UPDATE

In December we remember Peter Kropotkin Tada! Here's a flyer I worked up to get information out about this project and Kropotkin. The image was taken from some creative type on the Internet -- not my doing. I did turn it to greyscale, though. You can find the link to it by searching "Change we can REALLY believe in!" at news.infoshop.org (which seems down at the moment, which is why I can't link directly to the original site).

So I'm two days late and two dollars short, but here's an update for Kropotkin's 166th birthday: Letter on Russia, Natural Selection and Mutual Aid, Letter from Kropotkin to Kelly, A Visit With Peter Kropotkin from Beyond the Horizon by Thomas B. Eyges, and Diplomatic Reminiscences (Excerpt) by A. Nekuludoff.

In other news, I changed the name, since there seem to be a few "anarchive's" out there, and I didn't want to cause confusion (or follow in ChuckO's footsteps). The title is simple, but reflects the project.

Are you seeing what's going on in Greece? It's amazing! Perhaps there is hope, and a sign of what's to come... Whose streets? Whose world? That's what I thought.

2008.10.07 UPDATE TWO

Two updates today, it would seem. We are well are our way to the most comprehensive Peter Kropotkin archive on the 'net! We're looking to expand, as well, so stay tuned. The (an)archive hopes to include more unique and exlusive content, such as an archive dealing with anarchism and Esperanto, as well as anarchism and the open-source/free information/piracy movement.

KROPOTKIN: Added a .PDF of Brain Work and Manual Work to the Articles and Pamphlets section. Added HTML versions of Anarchism and Revolution, Maxim Gorky, and Brain Work and Manual Work to the Articles and Pamphlets section. Lastly, added HTML of Process Under Socialism to the Miscellaneous section.

2008.10.07 UPDATE

KROPOTKIN: Added .PDFs of the doctoral thesis of Graham Purchase (Peter Kropotkin: Ecologist, Philosopher, and Revolutionary), Peter Kropotkin & People's Uprisings by George Katsiaficas, and The Vision of Peter Kropotkin from the MANAS Journal to the Works About (Not By) Kropotkin section. Added a .PDF of Agriculture, and HTML of The Effects of Persecution, and Communism & Anarchy to the Articles and Pamphlets section. Added HTML of Proposed Communist Settlement to the Miscellaneous section.

2008.09.29 UPDATE

Today is the new Black Monday for world financial markets. The beginning of the end for capitalism? We can only hope. The (an)archive does send out its well-wishes to those trying to survive under this insane system. We that work on the (an)archive are just as affected. Take me: I'm unemployed, with no job prospects in sight. Tough times, indeed. How are we to survive without capitalism? Look through the (an)archive! Cooperation over competition is the key.

But enough with that. To follow yesterday's massive update (see below), one new PDF has been uploaded. Some of you may also have noticed a change to the color scheme of the site, as my eyes can't seem to read white-on-black anymore. My apologies to everyone else with similar senility. Hopefully this is easier on the eyes. Kropotkin also got a larger, rounded picture on his page.

KROPOTKIN: Added a .PDF of Kropotkin: The Man and His Message by Tom Swan to the Writings About (Not By) Kropotkin section of the Kropotkin page.
